Triple Chocolate Fudge Cake

Print Friendly and PDF
I would make this cake for the staff when I worked at Corporate Human Resources. It is rich, moist and loaded with chocolate. I made it in a 12" pizza pan which you can get at Michael's Craft Store. Serve it with vanilla ice cream or a tall glass of milk. Simply delicious!

Ingredients:
1 Duncan Hines Chocolate Cake Mix
1, 3-oz. pkg Jell-O Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix
¾ pint sour cream
½ cup oil
4 eggs
½ cup water
1, 12-oz pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mix all ingredients together. Bake in a greased and floured 9”x12” rectangular or 12” round pan at 350 degrees for ~30 min. Frost this cake with chocolate ganache frosting.

Ganache frosting:

1, 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 pint whipping cream

Melt the chocolate chips and whipping cream over the stove in a saucepan just until the chocolate chips melt, stirring frequently. Let cool to room temperature for several hours. As it cools, the frosting will thicken to a pudding consistency. Spread it on the cake when it reaches that consistency.
